Author's note:
The Shadow Within and Death's Shadow is situated in Medieval England, and to stay faithful to my characters and the world they inhabit, I've written the book in British English rather than American English. You may notice words like "colour," "honour," and "realise." These are not errors but reflect the unique English of a different time and place.

Bloodsong is set in Melbourne, Australia, and there is Australian and NZ lingo. You'll find words like Mum, rando, sweet as, and yeah nah. Some things may *seem* inaccurate to those in the northern hemisphere, such as it being winter in June. Believe me, it is June, and it is very cold here in Melbourne!
The book itself is written in British English. We use U a lot in words, and sometimes S instead of Z like in recognise.
